btrax
Intro
During my time at btrax, I’ve had the privilege to work on a wide range of design projects across various mediums. My expertise spans both digital and print mediums, from crafting user-friendly websites and mobile interfaces to producing visually engaging social media content, digital banners, and motion graphics. I’ve also created comprehensive brand guidelines and video content. In print, my work includes designing logos, flyers, posters, and signage for events and campaigns.
btrax 18th Anniversary Animation
Here’s one of my most challenging projects—an animation created to celebrate btrax's 18th anniversary. I used Figma for storyboarding, Adobe Illustrator for vector assets, and After Effects for animation. With a 1-week turnaround, I animated shapes on the fly rather than storyboarding each one beforehand, which was more ideal. Luckily, everything came together perfectly.
The animation features over 100 layers, all designed to align with btrax’s brand and optimized for email and social media. It creatively brings btrax’s key motifs to life through motion, showcasing the agency’s ability to stay innovative and dynamic.
I've included the storyboard directions below—we ultimately went with Direction 2.

E-book Design
As the lead designer for these eBooks, I collaborated closely with the marketing team to design engaging covers, layouts, and visual elements that aligned with the company's branding strategy. I also oversaw multiple rounds of quality assurance to ensure a seamless and enjoyable reading experience.

Website Redesign
For the website redesign project, I was responsible for developing the site using Framer. I translated the wireframes my team and I created into a fully responsive website, adding engaging micro-interactions throughout.
I contributed significantly to key pages, including the Home, About, Services, and Work pages. For the Work page, I set up the backend so the team could easily update our portfolio and implemented a category system to improve user navigation. Please check out the EN and JP sites!
On the Home and About pages, I designed animated cards that interact with page scroll and incorporated card stacking with sticky scroll to add depth and dynamism to the site. Additionally, I conducted thorough QA testing and debugging within Framer to ensure a seamless user experience.
I also created the homepage hero video—the main full-screen visual that greets users when they land on the site. I collaborated closely with our CEO to define the design direction, developed a storyboard to map out the concept, and brought it to life using motion graphics in After Effects.
Lobby Poster
I was tasked with redesigning the lobby poster for the company's San Francisco office location. Drawing inspiration from Japanese motifs and modern designs, I aimed to highlight btrax's role as a company that bridges the cultural gap between Japan and the US. With guidance from my design lead, I curated the motifs and created a layout that aligns with btrax's brand image. The poster's design emphasizes the duality of the company's identity as both Japanese and American, showcasing a unique blend of traditional and contemporary elements. The final product serves as an impactful representation of btrax's brand identity for all visitors to the office.

Lobby Poster Virtual Office Tour
I created this virtual tour video as part of an internal request from my HR lead. The video was made for a client who runs a program aimed at inspiring high school students about their future careers, and they wanted to introduce our office as part of the experience. The turnaround time for this project was three days.
Newsletter
I had the opportunity to design three special newsletters that were distinct from the usual ones. I collaborated with the marketing team to design festive newsletters that align with btrax's brand image and connect with the audience. The newsletters were created as a whole piece, with each section flowing into the next, and were designed with Adobe Illustrator using my skills in illustration. Each graphic was crafted to expand btrax's branding, resulting in visually engaging newsletters that successfully captivated the audience's attention indicated through more clicks and engagement.
